Ivan Ricci is an Italian illustrator and graphic designer. Since he was a child, he displayed a strong flair for drawing but it is during his adolescence, when approaching the manga, that he dedicated himself to studying not only as a graphic designer but also as an illustrator, comic book artist and animator. In 2008, he started taking great interest in paper toys and he first realized custom works based on other artists’ characters, until he eventually created his very first original character, Kikoo the monkey, in 2010, when he also realized a mascot paper toy for the humanitarian organization Smile Train for Haiti. His artworks have been published in various books, among them We Are Paper Toys!
